November 4:
You are used to listening to the buzz of the world, but now is the time to develop the inner ear that listens to the inner world. It is time to have a foot in each world, and it can be done. --Bartholomew
When we walk down a street or enter a strange room, we automatically scope it out to find out hoe safe it is, who's there, and what people are doing. We gather information. We have trained to listen and observe.
In the same way, we can train ourselves to learn about the intuitive, nonrational, spiritual world. The more we learn about this world, the more we come to understand how important it is to our survival.
One way to turn our attention toward this world is meditation. Whether we sit cross-legged, relax by lying flat on the floor, take long walks, gaze at candles, or listen to music, the point is to calm ourselves and change our channels from the outer world to the inner world.
Through meditation we consciously improve our contact with our spiritual self, our guide and we discover that living in the material world is easier when we're listening to both channels.
Help me listen with my inner ear.
